Pros and cons of Haaretz English Edition app for iPhone and iPad

Haaretz English Edition app good for

Haaretz keeps on providing news and impotant background information on Israel and the Middle East from an uncompromisingly humanistic point of view on a high journalistic level. Toda Raba Meod!
I think the app is a very good informative one. Appreciate the objectivity in your rendering news.
My subscription to Haaretz offers me an antidote to the ugliness that is present-day politics in Israel. Haaretz reportage and columnists reassure me that there still exists a strong liberal humanist element based on a religious Judaism that embraces and loves the other, and begs for justice. I hope that subscribing from the US helps support that element -- aside from keeping my hope real.
The best news to read daily, Always take the news of the Haaretz newspaper .request to reduce the involvement of the iPhone application fees
While never on the surface, every rational man, Jew or (as I am) Gentile knows, anti-Semitism is alive and well in the United States. Haaretz gives me a voice from Israel informing of things good and bad. I appreciate the thoughtful treatment of touchy issues. It broadens my perspective and is much appreciated and finds its way to Facebook with regularity.
Excellent source of news. It helps that I agree with your politics.

Some bad moments

I like the news from Haaretz and follow them for news from Israel. I have suscribed to the paper and am paying the subscription fee, yet I am bombarded by both popup ads and ads that take the bottom 5th of the screen away. If this is the cost of doing business, at least give me an option to pay more for the subscription and get it without these completely disruptive ads. The app also feels like a 1st gen app with poor usability.
When I enter my login dates and press "login", then the App shuts down. Very unconvenient.
Why would I use this app when it locks content that I can get on the website without subscribing?
The new app version has improvements in some areas, but now includes pop up ads!!! Not only on loading but also while clicking in other parts. At this point theres no good reason to have the app installed. You might as well use a good browser app. And I say this as a subscriber. Plus, the app limits you to two hundred characters if you want to explain a problem. Well, then I have to review it to have more space.
I pay around $100 per year and they put ads that I cannot take away for 5 seconds!!!
I would love to subscribe to Haaretz. However, when I click on the combo box to select my country, the app crashes after to got a message saying alert. I dont know if this problem has to do with Apples SCREENREADER Voiceover , but this u issue needs to be addressed.
